Abstract:
Purpose/Significance The sharing economy has changed the way of socioeconomic development, and more and more sharing transactions appeare in life. The new transaction methods all challenged consumer rights and interests, and triggered a reflection on the impact of the sharing economy on consumer rights. Design/Methodology After sorting out and analyzing relevant policies and practices, it was found that lack of market access supervision, user security threats, unfair competition among sharing enterprises, and difficulty in consumer rights protection are the main manifestations of the impact of the sharing economy on consumer rights. Findings/Conclusion As a new economic model, the sharing economy has not yet matured in our country, especially in terms of protecting consumer rights and interests. In order to fully meet the challenges, it is possible to achieve a win-win situation for economic development and consumer protection in the new era by constructing sharing principles, clarifying contractual obligations, clearing compensation standards for violation of user information, and promoting sharing concepts, and taking into account internal constraints and external supervision.
