A Post-Deconstructionist View: On Reconstruction of the Translator’s Subjectivity

Abstract: Negligent of actual translating activities, deconstructionist translation theories de-ontologizes translation by over-elating the translator’s subjectivity. From a practical perspective, this paper reconstructs the translator’s subjectivity within the scope of intersubjectivity, which is actually achieved as a consensus through dialects and conflicts. Therefore, translation is a free play reined by a certain framework, making the epistemology overcome the nihilistic lingual view of deconstructionism.
