Abstract: Scholars attended International Academic Symposium of “The Status and Value of Xunzi Thought” in Handan, China, explained individual academic achievements and core viewpoints, and answered questions from the audience. The conference developed mainly around following themes: the interpretation and textual criticism of Xunzi thought; the historical position and value of Xunzi’s theory of human nature; the meaning and status of Xunzi thought; the influence of Xunzi thought on Yanzhao culture. Xunzi’s ideological system contains rich thought resources, has valuable academic value and practical significance. At the conference, there were new ideas and research, fierce confrontation of ideas, and also further development from the previous study. It was an important academic conference which would promote the study of Xunzi to a new height.
