Abstract:
“Cultural Studies” or “Birmingham School”, which has gradually developed in the field of British traditional literary research in the 1950s , has been focused on by some kinds of scholars. As a thinking epitome of this School, Stuart Hall has greatly contributed to the founding and development of this School. This paper is for western scholars to examine Stuart Hall’s thoughts, explain key contents and cores of his thoughts, and analyze the limitations of these scholars’ foci on Stuart Hall, in this way, so as to offer beneficial guide for our Chinese scholars with thorough research on Stuart Hall.
