Abstract: The omnimedia era represented by the new media is coming, increasingly affecting people's way of thinking and behavior, including college students. The ideological and political education in colleges is facing the opportunities and challenges brought by the omnimedia era. In the age of new media, how to fully excavate the great advantages of the media and avoid the drawbacks, and make the ideological and political education in colleges be adapted to the needs of social economic development and modern college students' growth, have become an important topic of the times. To innovate the ideological and political education work in colleges, efforts not only in human-oriented, pragmatic, and practical work, but also the innovation in ways of the course of general education, campus media, and work mechanism should be taken to improve the quality of ideological and political education.
