Abstract: In the process of new China's construction, Zedong Mao attached great importance to social management and put forward abundant thoughts of social management, including creating stable political situation, optimizing the environment of social management, emphasizing the harmonious development system, improving the social management ability, stressing the people’s participation in social management, realizing people’s subjective status, and so on. Research and summarization of Zedong Mao’s thought of social management have important theoretical significance and practical value on strengthening and innovating the social management.
