Abstract:
Purpose/Significance The regional characteristics of the economic growth in the Yangtze River Delta region are gradually highlighted. The correlation between regional economic development and logistics efficiency is analyzed to promote the benign development of the two and provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for the regional economic development in the Yangtze River Delta region. Design/Methodology Selecting the relevant data of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2011 to 2021, this paper uses the Super-SBM-DEA model and Malmquist index to study the logistics efficiency of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region from the static and dynamic aspects. The influencing factors of urban logistics efficiency are analyzed by Tobit model. Conclusions/Findings From 2011 to 2021, the overall logistics efficiency of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region was relatively high, with the average efficiency hovering around 1. The main contribution of total factor productivity growth in this region comes from scale efficiency, followed by pure technical efficiency. Technological change has not become the core competitiveness of total factor productivity development in the Yangtze River Delta region. The agglomeration of logistics industry, the utilization of logistics resources and the level of logistics informatization have a significant positive effect on the logistics efficiency. The positive effect of industrial structure on the logistics efficiency has not yet emerged, and the energy consumption has not passed the significance test.
