Abstract: Colleges and universities are important ways to cultivate the creative talents who are keys to enhance the ability of national technical innovation. First, we analyzed the main factors which can impact the model of nurturing creative talents from the school system; then based on the theory of value chain, we formated the value system about the creative students; thirdly, we detailed the resource characteristics related the value system of creative talents in research universities; finally, on the basis of those characteristics, we proposed and explained the differential model of nurturing innovative students in research universities.
