Abstract: “Autonomy” is a fundamental characteristics of western universities. After hundreds of years’ development, the western universities autonomy has the following features: the academic freedom is the core of autonomy, the corporate structure is the guarantee of autonomous organization, and the "hybrid model” based on the “German-America Mode” is the development trend. Finally, this paper divides the university reform in our country into three periods.
