Abstract: Since the adoption of Critical Theory in public administration, it has been playing an important role in resisting the overemphasis on positivistic tradition in public administration. As one of the non-mainstream schools in public administration, the critical theory has never been recived sufficient attention by many scholars, but the viewpoints and positions of critical theoriests are directly correlated with the reflection of social problems as well as the understanding of the overall environment among public administration’s scholars. It can be argued that the appropriate introduction of crtical theory into the Chinese context will make sense for the indigenous and humanistic theory develoment in chinese public administration.
