Abstract: The study of Qing Fiction in English world can be divided into three periods: the sprouting period, the developing period, the thriving period. This paper attempts to analyze the study history of Qing fiction in English world and its characteristics with the aim to provide Chinese scholars with different theories and perspectives to understand traditional Chinese fiction. It also points out the problems in relevant field. Research on the study and interpretation of Qing fiction in sinology world will positively contribute to the enhancement of cultural exchange between china and the West
