Abstract: Due to the differences in the social history，polities，economy，culture and geographical environment， people of ancient China and the West formed the different wealth thoughts in the COUl就of economic activities．11Ie eCOnomic activities，which pursuit wealth，inevitably have the specific general rule，therefore，the ancient wealth theories of China and the West叭bounded to exist the colnnlon ground in certain aspects．Throughout the ancient wealth theories of China and the West，we can find out there have five profound dimensions，which a弛open theory system，emphasizing ethics and morality，concerning human nature，respecting the principle of natural law，and concerning private property．
