Abstract:
Social vulnerability to natural disasters is a hotspot question in natural disaster emergency management. Based on population, economic, the social structure and disaster fragile vulnerability, the index evaluation system of social vulnerability to natural disasters is built. This article makes comprehensive evaluation of spatial pattern on 31 provinces through the use of GIS and spatial autocorrelation analysis method. The results indicate that different levels of social vulnerability perform different characteristics; lower vulnerable place is mainly distributed in the coastal areas and the high vulnerable place located in the western region; the spatial distribution of social vulnerability indices has obvious characters of agglomeration and spatial autocorrelation
