Study on the Impact of Pension Income on the Rural Elderly's Satisfaction

Based on a field survey of the rural elderly in Fujian province, this paper discusses the policy effects of pension income on life satisfaction of the elderly. The results suggest that: pension income decreases old-age poverty, improves the status of the elders' health, and plays an important role on the elderly life satisfaction. At the same time, further research suggestion is put forward for future pension policy-making, on account of the difference of gender and income level.
