Thoughts on Constructing a Public Network Platform of Music Appreciation for Regular Institutions of Higher Education

  • Science and art supplement each other, neither of them can be neglected in higher education. Music not only functions as entertainment, but also as a practical way to foster creative thinking. Music is the basic need for the survival of mankind and a way to make the life more meaningful. It is necessary to construct a network platform to popularize and enhance music appreciation for long-term use. We can draw lessons from advanced achievements of national and international advanced online education and design this educational platform as an interesting music appreciation website. By applying interaction, grading and quantifying standards, and games, this platform will enhance users' music appreciation level while they are having fun learning music knowledge. The grading system will motivate self-directed learning and self-assessment. The website design needs to be practical and clear and pay attention to the choices of tracks and the applicability of professional knowledge.
