  • Women's lacking of leader identity is one of the most important impediments to their advancement. This paper reviews literature on female leadership and leader identity and presents "female leader identify", a brand new construct. This paper also outlines research agenda on female leader identity, thus providing guidance for future direction for theoretical and empirical study on female leader development and leader identity.
