Analysis of Su Tong's New Historical Writings Novels

  • The acceptance of Chinese new historicism novels from western new historicism trend of thought is not only related to the absolute center of the relative weakening of the ideological background in the 1980s, but also with the writer's own pursuit of literature related to innovation. Su Tong's new historical novels are imprinted with western new historicism trend of thought. Paying attention to personal interpretation of historical truth, contingency narrative highlight, promoting civil values, and decadent sentimental aesthetic pursuit are characteristics of Su Tong's new historicism novels. Su Tong makes his new historicism novels style more metaphorical and attractive because of his delicate depiction.
