Abstract
It has been a priority for tertiary education to train compound professionals with higher comprehensive qualities. Chinese science and engineering universities used to stress too much on study of professional knowledge and skills, overlooking the development of students' personal qualities, which is not conducive to individuals' overall development. Taking students from school of electronic engineering in UESTC as the main research object, combining theory with practice, we are trying to clarify the necessity of a more complete comprehensive quality assessment system of students in science and engineering universities and figure out problems in our current system. Based on the specified group dividing, we try to set up a complete comprehensive quality assessment system that can be applied for all students in science and engineering universities, and formulate specific targets and implementations for the system in consideration of ideology, body and mind, and knowledgeable and ability dimensions.
