Synergy Between Industrial Structure and New Urbanization: Case Study of Chaoyang of Beijing

By analysis of relevant literature and collection of relevant economic data of Chaoyang in Beijing, the thesis analyzes the relationship between the internal structure of industry of Chaoyang and its population structure in three industries, searches the relationship between industrial structure and new urbanization of Chaoyang, and measures the coordination degree between the urbanization of Chaoyang and its industrial structure. We find that the industrial structure of Chaoyang as a whole shows the trend of three-two-one in accordance with the evolution law of the industrial structure. In the second industry, the manufacturing output ranks the first in accordance with the national strategy to develop manufacturing industry firstly. In the third industry, the modern service industry such as the finance and insurance, the real estate, and the information transmission, computer services and software industry develope rapidly, and it supports the development of modern industry of high technology strongly. The structure of population of industrial distribution also shows the three-two-one trend, and the employment proportion of every industry gradually stabilizes. Per capita GDP is affected largely by the third industry in accordance with the gradually shifting law of the three industries. The comprehensive level of urbanization and industrial structure shows the same trend in growth, and takes a coordinating development. The industrial structure and urbanization of Chaoyang has entered the initial stage of coordination of high quality.
