Government's Investment in Higher Education in “The Belt and Road” Countries and the Cooperation with China

  • After " The Belt and Road” forum for international cooperation, 79 countries and China have established a cooperative relationship in policy communication, equipment interconnection, trade cooperation, capital integration, and people's friendship. The development of higher education in various countries has provided talent support for " The Belt and Road”. By analyzing the trend and current situation of the higher education investment, the author points out that the higher the economic development level and the higher development stage of higher education, the more investment government puts into higher education. Using the correlation analysis and regression equation, it is found that the economic level of each country and the financial investment of higher education have a significant positive impact on the development of higher education. Finally, China needs to promote the elite countries to expand the scale of higher education, promote low-income countries to increase financial investment in higher education, and carry out high-level academic exchanges with high-income and upper-middle income countries.
