Study on the Path of Internet Public Participation in Environmental Management

Environmental problem is becoming more and more serious with the development of economy. Public participation in environment management has become a hot topic of environment governance. With the popularity of Internet, the public participating in the environmental management is upsurging. In this paper, we analyze the status quo and difficulties of public network participation in the environmental management. On this basis, the paper puts forward specific paths of Internet public participation in the environmental management, including establishing a reasonable mechanism of the network to participate in, improving the supervision and public mechanism, amplifying the mechanism of network publicity, improving the government website awareness and network response, arousing the enthusiasm of public, and combining the on-line and off-line channels. Above of all, the Internet will become an effective means of public participation in the environmental management.
