Abstract
Purpose/Significance Higher education facing the construction of a powerful country with intellectual property rights needs to improve the cultural soft power of “new engineering” talents. Strengthening the ideological and political education of courses, deeply integrating professional courses with general courses, and striving to create a hybrid “golden course” is the carrier and specific path for colleges and universities to implement the “new engineering” education reform. Design/Methodology Taking the exploration and practice of ideological and political education in the general course of intellectual property management as an example, ideological and political elements are being excavated and integrated, and innovations have been made in teaching objectives, teaching content and teaching methods. Conclusions/Findings The practice shows that students’ learning effect, course satisfaction, teachers’ teaching experience and social pillover effects are obvious. These experiences can provide reference for the ideological and political education of courses under the background of “new engineering”.
