Abstract
D. H. Lawrence both explores the abnormal and the ideal relationship between men and women in his short novels. The Abnormal relationship mainly involves homosexual love, spiritual love and socialization of marriage. The ideal relationship is the union of spirit and the body based on healthy and open sexual consciousness and the practice of sex. D.H. Lawrence’s sense of sex is closely related with his life, which is also a reflection of his understanding of sex.
