Couplet Translation from the Perspective of Conceptual Blending Theory

Conceptual Blending Theory has expounded information in two mental spaces mapping and integrating with each other, then it obtains a new meaning. However, translation has gradually been a necessary method of cultural communication in the background of globalization. Although, conceptual blending theory has obtained some profound achievements in the field of translation, the translation of Chinese couplets from the perspective of conceptual blending theory still supplies a gap. The paper aims to extend the translation of Chinese couplets by conceptual blending network, input space, mapping, and cognitive model construction. It can provide new method for the translation of cultural communication.
