Abstract: After two years of Wenchuan Earthquake, the reconstruction in the earthquake area goes to the normal state. Nowadays, though the media and the public pay less attention to the volunteers, we do a survey on them through the questionnaire and case study. We find out that with the characteristics of high academic qualifications and a large proportion of the generation after 80s, the volunteers have become the supplement to the government and play an important role in the reconstruction
