高校官方网站视觉功能设计的“媒介环境学”思维

Thinking of University Official Website Visual Design “Media Environment”

  • 摘要: 重视视觉的应用是高校官方网站扩大影响力的重要举措和常见做法。但仅靠视觉作品本身的冲击力,并不足以最大限度地发挥视觉元素的传播潜能。在网络时代,高校官方网站的视觉设计要摒弃单纯的“内容为王”思维,主动适应网络“互联互通”的技术优势,用“媒介环境学”的思维,促进“媒介融合”时代的网站视觉传播模式发展。通过对国内“985”重点高校的官方网站视觉模块的调研分析,通过“链接”、“分享”、“搜索”、“数据库”等指标衡量,总结出985高校网站视觉模块设计的四个发展层次。在“媒介环境学”视域下深入分析高校官方网站视觉功能模块的“四无”缺陷(即无链接、无分享、无搜索、无数据库),认为,应借助多级传播理论,使高校官方网站视觉功能向“互联互通”阶段发展。这将是继视觉应用浪潮之后高校官方网站视觉进一步扩大影响力的新方向。

     

    Abstract: The important measure to expand the influence of the university official website is to pay attention to the application of visual effect, which is a common practice during this process. However, it is not enough to maximize the transmission potential of visual elements through the visual impact from the image itself. In the Internet age, the visual design of the website should actively adapt to network technology with the characteristics-“interconnection and interflow” and make full use of the media environment in the era of “media convergence”. With "link", "share", "search", "database" and other indexes, this paper conducts investigation and analysis on the visual function module of the official website of the national “985 project" key universities, and has summed up four stages for “985 project” university websites in the development of the visual function module design. Under the theory of "media environment", this paper analyses in-depth the four defects of the visual function module of those websites-"no link, no defects, no search share, no database". With the help of multi-level communication theory, this article concludes that those websites' visual function should head for new stage of "interconnect and interflow". This will be a new space and direction to further expand the influence of university websites after the wave of the visual application.
