Abstract: In recent years, governments in both developed and developing countries have tried to buy public health service. Compared with other areas of privatization, the field of public health services is less concerned. At present, foreign studies about purchase of public health service have focused on the reasons for purchase, the forms and the items of government purchases, the effectiveness and government contract management capabilities. These studies are obviously lagging behind practical development.In the future, it is urgent to study the forms of purchase ,effectiveness of purchase, governments’ contract management capacity, performnce assement and government regulation
