Abstract: In the era of big data, every industry takes active measures to meet the chances and challenges brought by the big data. Located in the realm of ideas, ideological and political education in universities should make efforts to perfect itself, and on the basis of three characteristics of ideological and political education, namely volatility of students' behavior, network of teacher education, and value of student date, the big data should be utilized to monitor students' learning and living conditions so as to making personalized teaching plans. At the same time, the data privacy protection and accurate data screening should be paid attention.
