Abstract:
Jewish culture was deeply affected by its neighbor. The article mainly deals with the Babylonian culture’s profound influence to Jewish culture, which included Babylonian religion, architecture, custom, personal name, etc. It was the corrosive influence of Babylonian culture that to a great extent forced Jewish people to struggle for their traditional culture and to keep their own characteristics of the nation, more importantly, to promote the canonization of Torah, which was the core of Jewish culture.
