Abstract:
This paper begins with the deep influence of religious awareness on Chinese and Western playwrights. Based on the analysis of the subjective emotions such as the aesthetic inclination and the concept of value formed under the influence of religion, this paper discloses the defining function of this subjective religious perspective on the pattern of the plot and the aesthetic model of drama. It is proved that religious elements, to a great degree, not only shape the artistic forms of Chinese and Western drama but also integrate into the unique stereotyped characteristics and long-lasting aesthetic features
