Abstract: Two schools of Hermeneutics, rational and irrational, have run counter to each other ever since its birth, which has led to two opposing views on interpretation, they are creative and constrictive. As the two most eminent representatives of Hermeneutics, Heidegger and Eco have shared some views on interpretation, to put creation and constriction on equal footing. Life World and Cultural World is the constant source of creative interpretation; existence and textual intention set the limits of interpretation; still, mysticism in their ideas cast shadow on their original intention to eliminate the conflicts between creation and constriction.
