Abstract: Unequal treaties of China's modern history pushed China to the edge of death, which urged Sun Yat-sen to rise up against foreign countries aggression and save the country. Anti-imperialism and abolishing the unequal treaties were important parts of his revolution, and Sun Yat-sen’s understandings on the unequal treaties and thought of abolishing the unequal treaties came into being in different phases
