Abstract: Based on factor analysis, an index system of the city of Wanjiang City Zone is constructed. Through this index system, evaluations on the investment environment of the nine major cities of Wanjiang City Zone are give, and through the cluster analysis, these cities are divided into class A, B, and C three categories. Based on the reality, the investment environment discrepancy of the nine major cities and the main bottleneck are analyzed. Finally, based on persisting strategic ideologies of “Scientific Development View” and “the Rising of Central Region”, suggestions on improving the investment environment are put forward
