Abstract: The expanding of criticism on relation between word and meaning in Qing Dynasty’S literary theory visu— al field mainly embodies in two aspects：one is to talk an idea that meaning is the master and word is the guest；the other is an idea that word and meaning depend，rise and fall，and produce each other．In the first aspect，people greatly expand its theoretical intension from the angle of whole advancing．In the second aspect，people deepen the explaintion of this as— pect’S topics to go a step further from different angles．The literary criticism in the Qing Dynasty deepens and perfects the classicality criticism of relation between word and meaning at a deeper and wider level．
