Abstract: The pilot study is conducted to investigate on college freshmen’S attitude towards the new curriculum model of College English and assess the reliability and validity of the questionnaire scale．Based on three variables of teacher，classroom environment and students，fifty items are designed to collect data for SPSS analysis．The following conclusions are verified finally：1)The questionnaire has good reliability and validity，which could be applied widely．2) Teacher variable，among the three basic ones，is the most principle variable to influence student’S attitude on new cur— riculum model．And there are two principle factors that have impact on the three variables respectively．3)The majority of students hold a positive attitude towards new model
