Governance of the Platform Economy: Modes, Elements and Strategies

Purpose/Significance Platform economy has become the main battlefield of economy, bridging multiple subjects and building a ternary world of physics, information and society. It has the characteristics of multiple participants, complex interactive content and massive conflict points, which have brought great challenges to the governance of the platform economy. It is urgent to explore a new research direction of platform economy governance. Design/Methodology Based on the new business form of the platform economy, this paper systematically combs the relevant literature from three dimensions: the governance mode, governance elements and governance strategies of the platform economy under the research framework of platform economy governance. Conclusions/Findings Combined with the top-level design and realistic situation of platform economy governance, this paper looks forward to the mode innovation, the exploration of the mechanisms, and the implementation of the schemes of the platform economy governance with Chinese characteristics under the new development pattern, which can provide theoretical reference for scholars to explore the healthy and sustainable development of the platform economy.
